medallion recognises an award at the 1873 World Exhibition in Vienna, Austria.
The other medallion displays
the head of Franz Joseph, Emperor of Austria at that time.
What sets this particularly RARE example apart from the common bottle known to collectors is the addition of an emblem which appears to be a MASONIC Symbol, between the medallions.
The significance of this symbol is open to debate, and I would welcome any concrete evidence of its relevance as advertising on a gin bottle.
