This magnificent side panel pictorial gin has been in hibernation for 15 years, and after much patience and perseverance, has been acquired by my friend Theo Hulst, and the bottle now resides in Australia. The bottle is attributed to Henry George Surie, identified as a ships captain, buyer and commission agent for oils in the family business, H.G. Surie & Co. There is no identified history of Surie being involved in distilling jenever, therefore it is plausible that this bottle was produced as advertising for the family company .
