This spectacular gin
bottle stands a majestic 51 centimetres / 20 inches tall, and
features decorated side panels, hand painted in the style of the old Dutch
Masters. Please note on 2 of the above panels there are
depictions of wood working tools, which implies that this bottle

| LUMMEL - a Dutch word to describe a large straight sided gin bottle, generally over 4 litres capacity. They were used in liqueur shops, where people would bring in their own containers, which would be filled with gin from the large storage bottle - the lummel. |
